CHILDRENS AND YOUTH CLUBS
Each week during the school term-time, we run three clubs for children and young people. We seek to teach them stories from the bible, and also provide an environment where they can have supervised, organised fun together. The age groups for the clubs are 7-11, 11-14 and 15+.
All our children's activities operate under the Baptist Union of Great Britain's 'Safe to Grow' Child Protection Policy.

THURSDAY CLUB - 6.00pm Thursday (Age:7-11)
The Thursday Club is a weekly activity designed for children of primary school age,
approx 7-11 years old (school years 3-6). It runs from 6.00-7.15pm and admission is
20p. Minibus transport to and from the Club is available free of chanrge on request.
The Club weekly programme is roughly as follows:
an informal time as club members arrive
fun games eg rag hockey, pirates treasure, dodge ball
interactive God Spot about the Christian faith
small group activities with leaders
tuck shop and freetime interaction
A Bible is awarded after 30 attendances.

ROCK SOLID CLUB - 6.00 til 7.30pm Friday (Age:11-14)
Rock Solid is a fun Friday night club for young people of early secondary school age,
approx 11-14 years (school years 7-9).
For 40p per week* (free if it's your first visit or if you bring a friend) you will be
entertained with fun games, taught a cool new bible message and fed with tasty food!
There are bound to be some mad games....!?!
Each night is based around a theme and consists of all sorts of fun activities
specially designed for this age group:
games (some in pairs, some in teams, some very energetic, others less so!)
quizzes
discussions in small groups
an information slot
and a Bible-based talk on the topic for the evening
Time is also given for unstructed activities such as indoor football, indoor hockey, table tennis, snooker.
*There is a small admission charge to cover the cost of refreshments and materials:
40p per person, with a reduction for the second child in a family, and free for any
other children in the same family. A person's first visit to the Rock Solid Club is
always free!

FIT FOR LIFE - 8.00-9.30pm Friday (Age:15+)
Fit For Life is a fun Friday night club for young people of secondary school age,
15+ years (school years 10-13).We aim to provide a wide range of activities, which will vary from week to week. For instance,
Fitness equipment to help you build up your muscles and stamina, with a monitored programme for each person (if you wish).
Pool, snooker, table soccer, table tennis improve your skills, and enter our competitions.
Here to Help an opportunity to ask the leaders for help with your homework, if you need it.
Have a Go at a variety of board games and craft activities.
Team games re-live some of the best Rock Solid Club games;
Plus - badminton; short tennis; volley ball; hockey; football; quick cricket;radio controlled cars and mini-scaletrix competitions.
Food for Thought each club night includes a short talk and/or discussion on how we can be truly fit for life, by coming to know Jesus Christ and living our lives for him.

Fit for Life is not an open youth club. Membership is by invitation or recommendation so that we have a control over
numbers. A signed parental Consent Form is required for admission (avaiable from the Pastor or one of the leaders).
